Junk food Vegan Brunch
By Zendy
An Indonesian vegan Chef and mother of two is a magnificent food artist. Her Creativity mixed with the deliciousness of the food made the Brunch a vegan divine.
The Brunch was hosted by The Daily Restaurant and organised by Dubai Vegan Days in Rove healthcare city hotel. Despite being located in a fancy hotel, Rove's Daily restaurant had easy-going vibes to it. The interior was vibrantly mixed in colours with funky yellow chairs matched with wooden tables which gave the restaurant a modern edge.

It was a three-course Brunch along with choices of two unlimited freshening drinks. For the salad, they had Buffet with a wide selection, some of them included beetroot quinoa salad, mixed red and black beans, roasted zucchini, mushrooms and bell pepper along with vegan dressings which were one of my favourites. Varieties of dressings were combined with herbs, a pitch of citrus and nice creamy base.

For the main course, they served a platter of two main dishes rainbow beetroot burger and jackfruit tacos along with the sides of potato wedges and salsa. The burger was a delicious savoury mix of beetroot patty, guacamole and fresh salad. Tacos were filled with mildly spicy jackfruit with a cherry tomato on the top.

However, best was yet to come. For dessert, they served Mango and Passion fruit cheesecake. The cheesecake was an absolute guilty pleasure; it swiftly melted in the mouth, leaving mild mango flavour. It had a perfect amount of sweetness where I felt an addictiveness to the taste leaving me wanting more.
