It can be difficult to find vegan makeup. However, don’t worry, Mariya, a vegan Instagram influencer and a youtube artist have got you covered. This 21-year-old Instagram model started her vegan journey almost a year and a half ago, with her boyfriend. Since then the couple goes out to vegan restaurant and brands hunting together.

Mariya likes to call herself a creative person as she loves conceptual art and makeup. She has a makeup YouTube channel where she went viral for her full-face highlighter video and received over 4 million views. She is also recognised by many other major makeup artists like Jeffrey star and Nicki Tutorials.

This young model promotes body positivity alongside vegan makeup and fashion. Here are are some of the vegan makeup brands she suggested. (don't forget to watch the video at the end)
Fenty Beauty is a cruelty-free brand. However, they have a very limited vegan line. This cosmetic brand is one of the fastest-growing due to its association with pop artist Rihanna. Rihanna released her make up line in 2017, and since then her makeup is 'a must to have’ amongst millennials.
Vegan products include all the makeup brushes and tools, Gloss Bomb Universal lip Luminizer, Invisimatte Blotting Powder, Match Stix Matte Skinsticks, Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (all 40 different shades).

If Fenty Beauty is a bit high end for you then, Ordinary got you covered. It is very affordable and vegan, and cruelty-free. All of their products are free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, animal oils, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury, oxybenzone. From cosmetic to skincare and hair care products Ordinary breaks the stereotype of vegan products being expensive. The like to call their brand as a "Clinical formulations with integrity”.

The brand started by a beauty blogger Huda Kattan in 2013, has a high line of cruelty-free products. One of the interesting thing about this brand is that they don’t test their ingredients or products on animals. Their Faux Filter Foundation, Faux Mink Lash and Palettes like Mauve, Smokey, Electric and Warm are animal products free. Please note that not all of their products are vegan. However, the ones mentioned above are entirely safe for vegans to use.

This Italian brand is one of the leading cosmetic company and is completely cruelty-free. However, like Huda Beauty and Fenty Beauty, Kiko has very limited vegan products. They manufacture their products in independent clinical laboratories and qualified international science centres to assess new technological developments in the field of cosmetics.
The company is very strict about its ingredients and made all of their products became paraben-free in 2014. Additionally, they removed plastic microbeads from its scrubs as they are a cause of water pollution. So, the brand is not just cruelty-free but moving towards being environmentally friendly as well. However, look out for a specific product like mascara, eyeliner and lipsticks as they might contain beeswax. Otherwise, the rest of their products are vegan-friendly especially their nail paints.

Lime Crime is famous for its vegan lipsticks and glosses. PETA certifies this brand as vegan and cruelty-free. The brand founded by a makeup enthusiast, Doe Deere in 2008. They are known for creating exciting trends and innovations that have taken the industry by storm, from their famed Velvetines, one of the first liquid matte lipsticks, to their best-selling Venus palettes which started the reddish grunge rage, to the sparkle of Diamond Crushers to award-winning Unicorn Hair Colour.
